Aaron McElhinney

After studying computing and graduating from university in Edinburgh, Aaron began his mortgage career at 26 and later founded Smart Mortgages in Derry. Today he leads a growing team across Northern Ireland and Scotland. Aaron is also a co-founder of The AMP Growth Incubator, a governor of Oakgrove Integrated Primary School and a former Non-Executive Director of Ilex Urban Regeneration Company. He received an honorary award from North West Regional College in 2023 and won the Unsung Hero Award at the 2026 Sesame Bankhall Conference.
